Just steps from the bustle of Dundas Square, on a quiet tree-lined street, is The Queen & Beaver Public House.


When the weather is fair, soak up some sun on the patio, or you may prefer the comfort of the restaurant, the intimacy of private dining or the cozy atmosphere of the upstairs pub. We secured the Front Parlour (seats up to 21), an intimate little spot that allowed for great conversation and debate.

If you’re looking for a relaxed atmosphere where fabulous food is served in a welcome and charming atmosphere with bags of character, then this is the place for you. I used to visit regularly when I lived in Toronto, and a trip back is not complete without a visit to the Queen & Beaver.

Presentation, Quality, and Taste

Serving classic British favourites from dippy egg and toast soldiers to a good ol’ bacon butty (served on buttered white bread, and slathered with HP Sauce), both firm favourites when I was growing up in the U.K. such that the smell of bacon still takes me back to cozy Sunday mornings around the fire. If you’re in need of something more filling, then try filling up with the corned brisket and potato pie or smoked haddock kedgeree.


There is a well-stocked bar and if you’re looking for a very British tipple, then why not try the regal Queen Victoria’s gin and tonic? If gin isn’t your thing, there is an extensive wine list. Looking for something chilled? You can’t beat the Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, or if you’re in need of a warming red, then you could try a Cabernet Sauvignon from Sonoma. There is always a steady rotation of beers from across Ontario, typically including Junction and Granite Breweries; or opt for something from further afield like the wonderful London Pride, which couples nicely with the food and British theme.
